| | Week Four, Day Twenty-Three | | | Tuesday, April 29, 2008 (9:04 AM) (I'm feeling exhausted) | | Ok, so last week I fell off the wagon. I didn't drink any soda, but I ate fast food 4 times and didn't exersise at all. My week started with getting sick, working an overnight shift that completely thru me off schedule, to quiting my job at Polo completely after a dispute about my new rate of pay. My week was full of stress and exhaustion.
This week will be better. I ate Sonic yesterday, but that will be my only opps of the week if I can help it. I haven't gained any of the 5 pounds I lost back, which is a good thing.
It's time for me to get back on track and try this stuff again!

| | Week Three, Day Fifteen | | | Monday, April 21, 2008 (10:31 AM) (I'm feeling creative) | | I can't tell you how good it feels to be on track and to stay on track. Today is day fifteen on "Making a Better Me." I have lost five pounds... not bad for a slow start... right? I think its fabulous!
I have only been out running twice since I started... I wish it was more, but it's something. I have picked up my work outs to a total of an hour and a half, that has doubled from week one.. My calves are still sore from all the calf raises the other day.
Journal- can't find the thing. Griff might have accidentally packed it up into something. Hopefully it's not in storage...
Food- No fast food last week and maybe two sodas all week... nice!
Sleep- with all the hours I 've been putting in getting enough sleep has been hard. I have been getting between 4 and 6 hours of sleep a night. I need a lil bit more if I want to be healthy.
So far everything has been a success. I am very proud of myself. This week my goal is to go running twice, half hour each time, work out for a total of two hours and get myself hydrated! I know I'm not drinking enough... not a good thing when you are trying to het healthy!
Stay tuned for my weekly progress report!!

| | Week Two, Day Eight | | | Monday, April 21, 2008 (10:32 AM) (I'm feeling annoyed) | | Ok, so I haven't been doing as much as I probably should be doing. I have only exercised maybe 45 minutes total over the past week. 15 minutes of that was jogging. I wanted to do much more, but I guess thats a start.
I need a pair of Nikes so that I have a place for my little iPod Nike thing. Its big and uncofortable in my shoe and doesn't work as well anywhere else.
Most of my time has been working, packing, painting, cleaning moving or having one on one time with my hubby. I haven't had much me time.
This week I work 65 hours. Doesn't leave a ton of time to workout. Tomorrow I get up to get ready at 4am and don't get home until after 9pm. Thats a long day!
I do walk on my lunches at work. That is something I have been keeping up on.
Soda- I haven't stopped drinking it completely. I have cut back quite a bit, though. A few a week instead of every single day. A success.
Eating out- I have cut that back to once a week instead of 5 days a week. I have been packing healthy lunches instead of hitting the food court. Another success.
Excersise- 45 minutes... thats a 15 minute increase from what I have been doing. A small success.
Journal- I have written about my struggles, gains, failures and everything else almost everyday. Great success.
Pictures- None yet, haven't gotten out into the world yet for hikes, swimming, or biking yet. They will come soon!
My goal now is to run twice this week. Two half hour run/ walk/ jogs. I'm also going to exercise for 15 minutes a day four days this week. This will be part of my minimum 3 hours of me time. That other hour will go to whatever my heart wants whether its reading, writting, or playing games on Pogo.com.
I will keep you all posted on my progress.
Please help me by keeping me motivated!

| | Week One, Day One | | | | Monday, April 21, 2008 (10:33 AM) | | Today is the day I get out of my rut and start working on my health again. I’m not concerned with what I weigh by any means. I am dissapointed in myself for losing touch with myself. I used to hike five hours a week, swim 5 hours a week, do 1000 crunches a day, 250 push-ups a day and take the dog out for a walk one hour a night 5 days a week... Seems like a lot writting it down, but on top of 20 hours of work and 40 hours of school AND hanging out with friends this was my routine. It just happened. Somewhere I lost track of m routine and I want it back.
I am a procrastinator. That is something I’ve always had to fight with, but now I’m gunna kick my but into shape again.
Today is my last soda. I went years without it, now I have an addiction... I can do it again. I’m a tea person anyway. ;)
Today I updated my iPod with some great songs with a great beat. Running songs. For me, thats the only way to get into the zone. Music. I already have my Nike iPod thingy, I need to start using it.
Next, I need to find others just like me to start a group. I might see if there is any groups at church, or start one... check online and see if there are others looking for a running buddy, talk to coworkers... just get it going! I can do it alone, but if I don’t have to that would be better. Accountability.... Yea....
I’m also gunna bust out my Trek mountain bike and start riding the trails again. I’ll use it as a street bike as well. Get a few hours of riding in each week. I’ll take pix and also keep up on blogs to keep you all posted. If you want to join in on the fun let me know!
Also... I trust all of you will bug me and ask for updates... that will keep me motivated as well. Can’t let myself procrastinate anymore!
