Spefically: Live Shows
Introduction
I got interested in this type of organization when I was trying to share video clips of my birds with friends and found they were too heavy for most people's email. I wound up in Live Digital with "The Bird Lady" and "Pastor Barbra." When they closed down in January I went to Youtube which allowed me a little longer video for my sermons. There I am CaptainMacaw and MountainLadyPreacher. Several of my friends from LD thought I would be interested in the Live Shows and really applied pressure for me to come here and I'm glad they did. I decided to combine both interests into one and became "Preacher with Parrots."
My Live Shows
Sundays 2 PM (Pacific)
This is a "FAMILY SHOW". It is my responsibility to tell you that. It's the responsibility of on-line viewers who comment to keep their language and subject matter appropriate. I always have at least two macaws on camera. I always have topics to discuss (announced ahead of time) about sharing life in the forest with coyotes, bears and etc. Children are welcome and so is grandma.
Wednesdays 7 PM (Pacific)
This is a CHRISTIAN SHOW. I discuss what the BIBLE has to say about our life situations and discuss current events of a religious nature. Viewers questions often become the topics of future shows.
I Don't Do Chats.
First of all, LV already has chat rooms that get very little use. (See Site Map.) Secondly, 75% of my viewers are friends who can't view to my live shows and watch via the archives. Because of them I no longer chat while a crowd gathers, but try to start my presentation as soon as I go LIVE. I've only been doing this for 6 weeks and I'm learning. I'm making it up as I go. Thirdly, there are already many live shows doing chat. Maybe at some future date I'll consider doing a Christian Chat. That will be after I do "Charla en el Espangles."
Back to My Topic - Truth In Labeling
I'm doing my best to tell folks what my show is like so those who want to be thee can find it and those who don't won't waste their time finding out they are in the wrong show. Somewhere I saw a place to click on if one has suggestions. After I take care of a few things, I'm going to look for that place and make a couple of suggestions. Where it says "Preview" or "Chat" I'm going to ask them to consider changing it to "Preview" and "Enter." Also words like, "People", "Casuael", don't tell me anything. I could use a little more space to enter my topic of the show.
