(I'm feeling busy) | | | I just wanted to let you all know what my day is like....I take care of both parents who are both in wheel chairs and are both terminally ill...My Father has Lung Cancer and Alzheimer's, and my Mother has spine Cancer, was in remission, but I think it is back....because of their advanced ages 80 and 79, we have decided as a family not to take any more treatments... I live with them because they can not live alone...I get them up in the morning, bath, dress, feed them both and then they pretty much watch TV all day long....I do get a break in the afternoon....This is the hardest job I have ever had, but I am grateful for the time i have left with them....we have developed such loving relationships that I never had as a kid......It is the hardest job I have ever had..........BUT I WOULN'T TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING IN THE WORLD.....MY PARENTS ROCK....i love them so much......after all they are the reason I am here... | | | | 348 Views | 10 Thumbs Up | 22 Comments | |
