Evil, TheRonz, and SonOfTheRonz take the boat to the lake... Since SonOfTheRonz forgot to bring the tube, all that happened was Evil skiing and wakeboarding, and TheRonz skiing and wakeboarding... in some random order that really isn't important that Evil remember, so Evil doesn't...

Evil and TheRonz take the boat to the lake without SonOfTheRonz or the tube... TheRonz starts out with the combo skis (two skis), and as sometimes happens when the water is perfectly flat, the water will grab one ski right off TheRonz' foot, and TheRonz is forced to continue with just the slalom ski (one ski)... Then TheRonz wakeboards for a while... For Evil's first selection, Evil decides to go with the wakeboard, left foot forward... Evil is not sure of the time duration of the ride, (no camera, no camera time records), but declares some progress made because Evil did cross to the outside and back to the inside of the wake going to both sides of the boat... Evil crashes, though, and switches back to the usual right foot forward stance for a while before crashing... Evil asks for skis... Evil skis for a while with two skis (combo) because Evil does not know how to ski with one ski (slalom)... BUT... the water had other plans... the water just grabbed the one ski right off of Evil's foot... Evil is forced to attempt skiing with one ski... (SKI OR DIE???)... How does the water know which ski to grab, every time?... Evil tries to stick the foot missing the ski into the binding on the slalom ski where it belongs, but can't get it, looks down, and crashes... (die...)... Evil starts again with two skis... TheRonz pulls Evil through that same spot of water, and for the third time in one day, the water reaches up and grabs a ski off someone's foot... Evil's foot... Evil is forced to attempt skiing with one ski again, (SKI OR DIE!!!)... and again Evil gets lucky because the ski Evil still has is the one intended for just that purpose... (SKI!!!)... this time though, Evil gets the foot missing the ski into the proper place provided for it on the ski that Evil still has to stand on... (SKI!!!)... And Evil goes, and Evil goes some more, and Evil keeps going... (SKI!!!)... way past the thirty second time stage, (SKI!!!)... probably qualified the five minute mark, (SKI!!!)... Evil is following the boat, (ski!)... left turn, right turn, (ski!)... crossing the wake, (ski!)... outside, (ski.)... inside, (ski.)... one side to the other, (ski.)... nothing pretty, but covering all the basic 'Evil control where ski go, ski not control where Evil go' type skills... cross another one off of the list... or first, make a list... then cross this one off of the list...

Evil and TheRonz go to the lake... Walter is there with his boat also... SonOfTheRonz and Bradley (who is SonOfTheRonz' younger brother but not a son of TheRonz) show up a little later... Evil and TheRonz both ski and wakeboard, Bradley just wakeboards... Walter drives his boat around... Evil decides to attempt wakeboarding with the left foot forward again, and Evil does make it past the thirty second qualification time but much less than the five minute time... Evil declares some progress made with the left foot forward situation, anyways...

TheRonz and SonOfTheRonz have obtained a new (but slightly used) tube from this dude Jake... Evil and TheRonz ski and wakeboard... SonOfTheRonz and Jake ride the tube... Jake has a kneeboard, which only Jake rides... Jake attempts to ski, but Jake is a big dude and the boat just can't get Jake up...
Sunday, July 19:
TheRonz wakes up to find that during the night three of the personal floatation devices (life jackets) have grown legs and walked away, presumably to some other people's campsite... that, along with the throttle/gearshift problems, means game over, go home...

Evil and TheRonz head out to the lake... Evil and TheRonz get the boat out to the middle of the lake, and the boat breaks... it was only the one screw come loose... happened before in some previous blog... but Evil and TheRonz lack the proper tools to fix it, so Evil and TheRonz turn the boat around and head back to the dock... About halfway home, Evil says "We were dumb! We should have at least dropped the anchor, jumped in, and did some swimming..."

Drew shows up after about a year of absence... So Evil, TheRonz, Drew, and Seth load up boat and head for water... along the way Walter is coerced into joining the fun... Drew skis, Walter skis, Evil and TheRonz both ski and wakeboard....

Cold and rainy... nobody does a dang thing...

High temperature is 74 degrees on the fourth of July in Nebraska??? Four boats on the whole lake??? Drew, Evil, and TheRonz all get in the water and ski anyway... Evil is the only one who stays in the water to wakeboard... the water wasn't that cold... the air on wet skin was a little chilly, though...
Then Al and Earl show up at the lake, and abduct Evil and TheRonz, and Al, Earl, Evil, and TheRonz head to the big city to join 50,000 (yeah, fifty thousand) rednecks in the University of Nebraska football stadium to watch LARRY THE CABLE GUY do his comedy show...

Back to normal July heat... Drew skis, Bradley does a little boarding, Evil does both, TheRonz does both... Then Evil decides Evil needs to learn how to wakeboard with the left foot in front instead of the right foot... so Evil tries... a whole bunch of times... Evil does have some success... doesn't make it very far on any of the attempts, but does get up and going more than once... Then Evil decides to try launching with one ski, since Evil had some small success with the left foot forward thing... after about the sixth try of that, the rope breaks... Evil is left holding the handle (after the handle whacked Evil in the shin)... The Fourth of July weekend is over much as it started... with broke stuff...

The poison oak is now to a point where Evil no longer needs the calamine lotion... Evil is now using Gold Bond extra strength medicated triple action relief body lotion on the dry skin areas left from the calamine...
The weather has finally been friendly enough to allow some lake time... so Evil, TheRonz, and SonOfTheRonz hook up the boat and go for some skiing and boarding... enough to put some serious hurtin' on the muscles... maybe the secret ingredients in lake water ( aligator urine, mountain lion saliva, toxic green algae, west nile virus, beaver sperm, etc...) will help clear up the poison oak...

Evil and TheRonz get to the lake late, (Evil bought a mirror last year, don't need a third person for observer) but with time enough to put not so serious of a burn on some muscles...

(I'm feeling like an hour is missing) | | Okay... Grab some food and drinks, 'cuz this could get to be a long one...
Let's go back about nine months... sometime about May '08, Evil's hard drive got completely filled with videos and pictures. Evil was not that worried because Evil has a cd-rw drive to copy from the hard drive to a cd, and Evil thought that Evil could just copy all those vids and pics to a cd, delete them off the hard drive, and go back to business as usual... Well, not exactly... Evil also in the same computer has a cd-r drive... and sometime Evil stuck a music cd into the cd-r drive, and when that annoying screen came up that says "You put a disk in here what do you want Windows to do?" Evil clicked "play a music cd", because that's what Evil wanted to do, and the box at the bottom that says "do this every time" must have been checked, or Evil checked it because it was a read-only disk in the read-only drive, and with the two drives, Evil could only play cds or burn disks (no dvds)... Well, with Windows being the stupid ****er that Windows is, Windows applied the "do this every time" clause to BOTH cd drives, rendering the writable drive useless and preventing Evil from copying anything from the hard drive to a cd...
So now Evil has a problem... Evil doesn't want to just delete all those vids and pics and Evil can't get them onto the cds... So this is what Evil does... Evil deletes everything from the hard drive except the vids, pics, and the copy of Windows... Evil means EVERYTHING... Windows updates, the Flash player needed to even WATCH videos, so in October '08 when Christine (wheresthesea) DARED Evil to come watch some of her videos, Evil couldn't, printer software, camera software, games, etc, if it wasn't a video or picture, Evil deleted it... This gave Evil just enough room to install another (virgin) copy of Windows... Evil reads the warning about how installing two copys of Windows on the same hard drive could cause the first one to not operate correctly, but does it anyway because Evil considers the first copy to be dysfunctional anyways. Now, if Evil boots up from the virgin copy of Windows, Evil can USE the writable drive, and copy files to a cd... If Evil boots up from the original copy of Windows, the writable drive is still just a cd player...
So now we're getting to late December '08, and Sara (nobodyschild99) sends Evil a gift, and wants to know whats up with Evil... Evil gives a short explanation (Evil's computer is the victim of a cluster**ck) and a longer explanation (similar to what is above), at this time, Evil has about half the vids and pics copied to cds... and Evil deleted some of the pics and vids that Evil has copied to cd so that Evil could reinstall the Flash player stuff so that Evil could at least watch a few vids (that no one else is making either), since Evil still can't make vids...
Now it's sometime late February '09, and Evil has copied ALL the vids and pics to cds... double-checked all files on the cds to make sure they are functional, and to make sure Evil didn't miss any... Once sure, Evil deletes everything Evil could delete, formats the hard drive and installs a fresh virginal copy of Windows and starts from square one...
Everthing should be all incense and peppermint, now Evil thinks... until Evil starts downloading and installing those damned Windows updates... any update Evil has tried to install after ServicePack2 (running XP here) has caused a major malfunction with Evil's cameras... Evil will download from the camera card to the hard drive a 30 second video and all Evil gets is 30 seconds of audio and 30 seconds of black screen. Evil has two different cameras with two different software packages... it does not matter which camera, or which software Evil uses, 30 seconds of sound with 30 seconds of black screen... there is video there, Evil can see it on the little screen on the back of the camera, but on the computer all Evil sees is a black screen... Evil can hear every second of the sound, though... So Evil deletes any update after ServicePack2, turns off automatic updates, and life went on...
Until March 3, '09. Evil turns on the computer, the little light on the front lights up and the fan and the drive start spinning... for half a second... the computer is deader than a mackerel... DEAD... total and complete power supply failure... power supply units are a lot less expensive than Evil was thinking they were... a lot less than the brand new Vista running, dvd playing, 19" high-def monitoring, AMD AthlonX2 processing HP Pavillion Slimline that ALSO gives Evil 30 seconds of black screen for 30 seconds of audio from the 30 seconds of video that Evil downloads from Evil's camera...
And now you know... "The rest of the story..."
