 Even Cowgirls Get the Blues...
Saturday, April 19, 2008 (2:06 PM)
(I'm feeling sick)

No, I don't feel good...

The sky is all grey here in Cali and it fits my mood like a glove...

Everything else is good, but me...ugh.

I think I'm catching a cold...or perhaps it's PMS with the characteristics of a cold?????

Whatever, it sucks!

So, back to the story:

Oh crap...forgot what I was talking about...hold on! (what a jackass!)

Okay, now I know...The Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula, Ca.  Awesome place to hunt for Boos.

Well, Kendal and I were up on the third floor alone (the night manager told us that there was her room and a guest in a separate room on the first floor, me & Kendal with a couple of other guests on the second floor and no one with rooms on the third).  The hallway of the third floor is long and narrow.  Just its appearance can get the mind thinking "creepy."  So, we cleared our minds of that rubbish ('cause thinking that way your mind plays tricks on you), and settled down at an area that had one window and a small, wicker chair.  The little "nook" had a couple of steps up.  The window was not open (not sure if it does either).  The rumor, long ago, was that when the gangsters use to use The Glen for their boozin,' hookers and gambling, a lookout would sit at that window.  The window looks out the area so you can see the street and who ever is coming up to the inn.

I turned on the digital recorder and Kendal got our her dowsing rods.  I took a few pictures, but got nothing out of the ordinary.  We sat down on the steps with the window and wicker chair behind us.  Suddenly we heard banging (soft banging) and things being moved around in the room nearest the stairs.  I can't remember which room number it is now, but I'll ask Kendal so if you're interested, you can reserve that room...it's freakin' creepy.  Kendal smiled at me and said, "There's no one in that room, is there?"

"No, the night manager said no ones booked up here," I replied.

Kendal made a face and I along with her...this was cool.

So, like good investigators we walked over to the door and looked down to see if you could see a light on underneath as quietly as we could...there was no light on.  Now, this place was built in 1911 so it's seen a lot of history.  You can easily tell if lights are on in rooms because of the old frame work thoughout the inn.  Just a note, one side of the inn has been rebuilt due to a recent fire a couple of years back so that part is new.  When we were there, the rebuilt area was not complete yet.  It wasn't even painted.  Just the dry wall was up...but I digress:

We realized there was no lights on in that room while the sound of things being moved could be heard.  Also, you didn't hear a person speaking or even panting moving all that stuff so quickly...weird.  We even said aloud,  "Hello?"  It had no effect.  It was mind boggling, but cool as hell at the sametime.  My instincts told me to run, but the investigator in me said, 'no way, hang out and enjoy this!'  So I did.

Kendal started to ask questions for the fun of it with the rods.  Also, the recorder was going and we were hoping to get some EVP.  We asked for a sign that there was someone present.  We had several answers at different times we asked.  One incident was the wicker chair began to creek like someone's weight was in the chair.  And it wasn't once it was three or four times in one incident.  It hadn't done that before and it didn't after either.  Another time, my recorder was knocked over (I had placed it by the chair standing up).  We asked for a sign again and heard: PLOP.  We looked behind us and the recorder was laying in its back.  Another note: there is carpeting on the floor, but the recorder was standing up fine upon it.  It was not tilted in any way.  The carpeting is very, very thin.  Again, the recorder hadn't fell over before or afterward either.  Then the last one (which was hella disturbing and cool) was the sound coming from the window...

Kendal asked, "Are you still here?  Give us a sign..."

We heard a strange, long straining noise coming from the window outside...

"Oh, it's probably the sprinkler system," I said waving it off like a good skeptic.  It sounded like that to me.

Kendal frowned, "That's not a sprinkler system.  Listen..."

I did listen and expected the sprinklers to go on.  No...then it dawned on me...it sounded more like finger nails on the window being lightly dragged.

I turned around, "OKAY..."

Speaking of which, I'll get back to this later...  Have a great weekend!

 The Heat is On...
Saturday, April 12, 2008 (8:18 PM)
(I'm feeling bouncy)

Wow, it's been hot here in southern Cal!  Had to turn on the air conditioner in the house!  Made a run to the store for ice cream too...

The investigation went pretty good yesterday even though the sound had too much static.  It was cool to hear how everyone is looking forward to the next investigation on the 19th.  We (Pasadena Paranormal) will be at the studio hosting a live program of our investigation of the building which is said to be having some activity.  Make sure to tune in at the Pasadena Paranormal profile/show on this site.  The investigation starts at 7:00 pm pacific time.  I'm not sure if I'll be there personally, but I will be tuning in supporting my fellow team members!

I think I'll change my room around...every once in a while I like to do that.  It's gets boring, you know...

So, regarding the paranormal, if anyone ever ventures to Santa Paula, Ca., make sure to check out The Glenn Tavern (I may be spelling Glenn wrong - one "n" or two?).  If you can spend the night, it's kickin' with spirits!  It's better to catch a night during the week (which is hard for most people) but I tell you, a friend of mine and I did that and we were shocked by the amount of activity we experienced!!!!  No shit!!!!  It was awesome!!!!  We're hoping to go back again sometime too.  The Glenn is definitely a place to look into...

We went up to the third floor (there were no guests staying up there when we were there) and we heard a woman's voice, "Hello?"  Now this voice wasn't from downstairs, and there was no windows open (there's only one window thru the whole hall).  My friend heard it first, "Did you hear that?"  I said, "What?" She only replied, "Listen!"  She didn't "tell" me to listen for a female voice, but I heard a woman saying, "Hello?"  It freaked me out because she sounded weak, sad, scared...  I replied back to her since it's only human to do so, "Hello?"  Nothing...  We both heard a female voice and saying the same thing.

That's just one of things that happened there...I'll share more later.  Well, depending on if anyone reads this.  I had one cool person read my other blog and gave me some great advice on a web cam.  I ended up buying one at Best Buy.

Later!

 First Blog...ugh, brain freeze!
Wednesday, April 9, 2008 (9:15 PM)
(I'm feeling content)
Well now,

I'm feelin' pretty, damn satisfied since I discovered the playlist option!  One thing that has got my knickers in a twist was that "MySpace" only allows original artists to put up their songs.  I've noticed when I pick songs that are created from profiles with artists music that's copyrighted it's not long before the profile is deleted.  Then, my frickin' profile is sitting there without music and I have no idea until someone says, "Where's the music?"  Damn, I hate it when that happens!
Moving on, my fingers are going too fast and keep making mistakes.  Damn!

I've got laundry in the damn machine that needs to be done and I'm sitting here goofing around...shame!!!

Nothing new to report other than the guinea pig's cage is clean and Jack in the Box has a $3.00 special on two Bacon or Sausage Croissant sandwiches.  However, that does not come with the combo!  We've tried that already and they said no.  My dad loves those...  In fact, he's driving me crazy.

Oh and if Trish reads this: yes, they'll let you order hashbrowns by themselves.  LOL!  Remember, you told Syd you didn't think you could? Yes you can, Trisha...it's a beautiful world out there!!!!

Okay, enough...I think I might go buy a web cam since I'm on here now...  Anyone have any suggestions on what a good buy is without me having to put my dad up for sale????  He comes with croissant sandwiches...

Alright, I've gotta do laundry!  See ya'll around and look for the ghosts in the shadows!!!!

Night!
