| | Susan Boyle and the 11th House - The Dream that Comes to Pass | | | Wednesday, May 20, 2009 (11:16 PM) (I'm feeling Dreamy) | | Susan Boyle and the 11th House :
The Dream that Comes to Pass
For those of you who didn't know - I despise American Idol and any of its offshoots. Being a trained opera singer who had a professional singing career, I don't have much interest in something pop culture bothers to look at for more than a minute with its ADD attention span and then insists in a very hysterical manner that THIS is "good singing". For those of you who find fault with my opinion, please pick up a microphone (or better yet don't use a microphone at all as those of us who are classically trained do), and sing in front of an audience of more than 20 people for more than 3 minutes and then get back to me if you would care to argue the point a bit more.
With that said, it's no surprise that I missed the broadcast when Susan Boyle made her television debut on April 11th, 2009. After that evening, a number of my viewers approached me asking if I had seen or heard her; it wasn't until I saw my Scorpio best friend did I come to find out the piece that Ms. Boyle chose to make her mark on the world with her voice. Her song choice alone made me extremely curious - "I dreamed a dream" from Les Miserables.
Les Miserables and particularly "I dreamed a dream" emote feelings that are ANYTHING but uplifting or dare I say toe-tapping. The musical is based on Victor Hugo's novel which tells of the doomed fate of a group of poor French revolutionaries at the turn of the 19th century. "I dreamed a dream" is sung by a woman named Fantine right before she cuts off all of her hair and enters a life of prostitution. With the last words of the song "Now life has killed the dream I dream." Fantine admits and acknowledges her unjust destiny - not exactly something you would say as having "a good beat and you can dance to it!". Nor something that audiences in the midst of a world recession would want to even listen to! All the more eyebrow raising to discover that THIS is the song Susan Boyle auditioned with???? After reviewing her natal chart, there could not have been a more perfect choice.) Here is the link to view the chart itself.
I will focus on 4 major features of Susan Boyle's chart: Her stellium in the 11th house, her grand trine in water, her chart being triple cardinal, and lastly her Jupiter, Uranus and Venus placements.
As we shall see in many ways, the number 11 and the concept of dreams has much to do with the birth chart of Susan Boyle. She has a stellium which means 3 or more planets in the 11th house - her Sun at the 11th degree of Aries, Mercury in Pisces and Venus in Aries. The 11th house is a curious house in itself. On a rudimentary level it is the house of friends, groups and of humanity at large, on a more esoteric level it is the house of the future and of hopes, wishes and dreams. When a person is born with their Sun and Mercury in the 11th house, much of who they are (Sun) and what they have to say (Mercury) are on a level for all of society to hear or take note of as well as that person's entire self (Sun) can speak (Mercury) to every different level of humanity, be it groups of young/old/rich or poor. Venus' placement in the 11th is just as, if not more significant as the Sun and Mercury's and will be discussed later. Most importantly the future of a person born with their Sun, Mercury and Venus in the 11th is based on their following of a "dream" no matter how distant it may be at the time of their birth.
If we look at the chart from far back, the first thing that stands out is a perfect blue triangle - this is known as a grand trine. A grand trine is when 3 planets are placed in each of the 3 signs of 1 of the 4 elements and are in perfect harmony or trine each other. Susan Boyle's grand trine is in the element of water and involves Mars in Cancer in the 1st house, Neptune in Scorpio in the 6th house, and Mercury in Pisces in the 11th. A person born with a grand trine in water has a dual sided gift with sympathy and empathy. That person can not only be sympathetic and empathic to anyone that approaches them with an emotional problem or issue but can draw sympathy or empathy from others towards them! Take that emotionally charged energy along with the planets of her grand trine into a formula and apply that to a piece like "I dreamed a dream" and you have magic on stage!
Mars in Cancer in the 1st - Indication of a person who must work for or most of their actions are in service to their parents or family and identifies their overall self with these actions. Ms. Boyle has spent her entire life in her home village of Blackburn Scotland and took care of her parents until their deaths. Scotland by the way is a Cancerian country, so her actions in themselves spoke to the Scottish people as whole! By her Mars placement, Susan could easily emote a sense of someone acting out of sheer caring or a basic belief system when singing "I dreamed a dream."
Neptune in Scorpio in the 6th - Indication of someone who can find spirituality or a sense of faith in one's daily toil but also of utter disillusionment as well. Being placed in the sign of Scorpio, taken one way the person dies in the midst of a daily struggle of work and humble service as Fantine does in Les Miserables but on a mystical level, a person can come across as an everyday blue collar worker and literally be rebirthed and transform through something that accompanied their daily work as Susan Boyle did with her singing.
Mercury in Pisces in the 11th - Anyone who has Mercury in the 11th house has "the mark of the purple" meaning that no matter what kind of social status they were born into, they can come across to groups and the public with a dignified and proud bearing. Mercury rules our speech and how we communicate and when placed in Pisces a person can evoke a sense of pity from others since Pisces is the sign of the downtrodden or the underdog. How wondrous that the planet which rules the voice is the final part of the grand trine and can bring out such sentiments of tragic sympathy but with a voice of dignified clarity that spoke to many people on many levels as Susan Boyle did with her choice of song being "I dreamed a dream"!
The Sun, Moon and Rising Sign or Ascendant are what I call "The Big Three" or the dominant components of a person's overall personality. Susan Boyle's Sun, Moon, and Ascendant are all in Cardinal Signs, giving her personality the quality of being "Triple Cardinal". The cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn) are signs that are inherently good at starting or beginning things. Before she sang, Susan Boyle was asked her age and she unabashedly answered "47". Everything about her entrance on stage, her candid manner of speaking and her vocal attack of singing had a freshness and youthful buoyancy that only a person who was triple cardinal could have, no matter what their age! Susan possessed 3 of the 4 cardinal signs being Aries Sun, Libra Moon, and Cancer rising. On April 11th, transiting Pluto completed the cardinal qualities by being in the very beginning of Capricorn right at the point of Susan's Descendant. Susan's international debut that night was a first of many indicators of society's need to transform what we view as anything "aging" or "old" with Pluto entering the sign of Capricorn. The planet of death and transformation was not in Susan's 1st house which would mean that she change her overall self, rather it is on her descendant, meaning that her one on one relationship with how we as the world see her must change. We can no longer hold onto the notion that someone who is 47 is over the hill and shouldn't even think of trying to BEGIN anything, let alone a singing career!
I would like to isolate 3 of Susan Boyle’s natal planets – Saturn, Jupiter and Venus. Since her Saturn is within 5 degrees of a cusp it is moved into the 8th house and is conjunct her Jupiter. A conjunction is when 2 planets are within close range and it is usually assumed are placed in the same sign, this is not the case with Susan’s Saturn and Jupiter in the 8th house. Her Saturn is in its own sign of Capricorn and anyone born with Saturn in the sign that it rules has a delay with time usually with their status or recognition. It is also the indication of someone who usually lives a life of duty or obligation. Susan Boyle sang her entire life but did not attempt to have her voice be heard on a major venue until after the death of her parents whom she dutifully cared for most of her adult years. Thus she did not come to the attention of the public eye until the age of 47. With that in mind and Saturn now placed in the 8th house, the formula now reads: a delay with time regarding status or recognition in the area of life regarding transformation or rebirth. Put that in conjunction with Jupiter, the planet of fortune or blessings and placed in the sign of the masses, Aquarius and now the full formula reads: Susan Boyle, through her sense of duty and obligation to her family was greatly delayed with her entrance upon the world stage, but her transformational change in her later years has been a blessing to humanity!
That leaves one last item to be discussed : Susan Boyle’s Venus which is placed in retrograde motion in Aries in the 11th house. Venus rules love and beauty and is considered in its detriment when placed in the opposite sign of its rulership, Aries. When a person is born when Venus is in retrograde motion, they are considered at first glance “unbeautiful” but tend to possess a beauty that is hidden or not as obvious. Venus retrograde is hard enough for anyone, but even more so for a woman born with this placement. Women who have their feminine planet placed in the most masculine of signs dare to do their own thing and approach life with a sense of courageous bravery. All of this is quite apparent with Susan Boyle. On April 11th the Sun was shining on her 11th house Venus. I enjoy telling clients who are born with Venus located in the 11th house of dreams that “one of their soul’s deepest wishes or dreams shall come to pass at some point in their lives.” By singing about dreams themselves, Susan Boyle not only made her dreams come to pass but ushered in a new age of how the world should dream as a whole.)
This message of inspiration brought to you by a person born on the 11th day of June with his Sun, Mercury and Venus in the 11th house of dreams.)

| | May Horoscopes Libra - Pisces | | | Tuesday, May 5, 2009 (8:41 PM) (I'm feeling Retrogradish Part II) | |
Libra (September 23 – October 23) – Ready Libra? SEX! At least it’s out in the open now. We all know how much you LOVE to be in LOVE Libra, and I will say that you have the romance part down pat, but ummmmm, let’s face it you delicate Scale children really have a tendency to be major prisses in the bedroom. You STILL don’t get it? The old “in out, in out”? sigh……… When in doubt, shout it out…SEX! Sorry to get all graphic but Mercury will be going retrograde or backwards in your house of sexuality all this month. Add to that, the planet of communication will be doing an about face in your fellow Venus ruled sign of Taurus meaning that conversations in the bedroom are not only going to be mostly misdirected and misunderstood but words might get downright ugly! So start putting those pristine minds of yours in the gutter now Libra so you won’t be completely shell shocked when things get really dirty. Grab some smelling salts and repeatedly watch “Sex…….I’m A” by Berlin.
Scorpio (October 24 – November 22) – I love you Scorps I really do! If you’re not stealthily observing everyone in the shadows covered in an aura of mystery and sexual intrigue then you are being completely hardcore and doing everything with an almost life threatening intensity! Plus if you had it your way, talking would be a function used only for the most extreme of emergencies and would otherwise be outlawed by you deadly desert stingers! However, you are going to have to go against your o so fixed grains all this month my Scorpions. Mercury the planet of communication will be going backwards or in retrograde motion for most of May in your house of marriage and partnerships meaning that not only will you have to go out of your way and say more than just your perfunctory “strong but silent” one liners to your significant others this month, but you’ll have to talk even more to double check that your words (or lack of them) were not misunderstood or taken the wrong way by your sweetie. This should help, watch “Words” by Missing Persons.
Sagittarius (November 23 – December 21) – I need to let you in on a major cosmic secret Sag. I’m letting all the other signs know that for most of May Mercury, the planet of communication is going backwards, or in retrograde motion. I then explain that this happens usually 3 times a year so that we all are made aware of how well or badly we are communicating or expressing ourselves. But between us, here’s the real reason. Mercury retrogrades occur simply to balance the universe from the Sagittarian’s favorite form of communication – the empty promise. Being ruled by Jupiter not only gives your sign a dumb luck factor that leaves the rest of us cross eyed, but the biggest planet in the solar system makes pretty much every word out of your horsey mouths exaggerated and over amplified so that you can’t help but promise the moon and the stars and commit to people in the biggest and most showey of ways! Those poor fools who actually believe what you say only come to find out well too soon that all those glitzy words amounted to nothing but centaur hot air. Let’s put it this way, if there WEREN’T any Mercury retrogrades, there would be a lot less Sagittarians! So you’re SUPPOSED to get caught in a few empty promises this month!! But hey, you could really put the universe in check way in advance by making this your mantra all month: If you don’t mean it, don’t say it!
Say that repeatedly and watch “Talk Talk” by Talk Talk.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 20) – Whenever a Mercury retrograde comes around, I always find it funny when your sign is criticized for having a style of speech that the other signs interpret as being haughty, cold or aloof whereas not only do I never have an issue with how you Goat children communicate but I find your manner of speech quite endearing! A Capricorn’s words mirror his work ethic – business formal. True, if a Cappie doesn’t know me well there have been times where I felt like I was being spoken to like a bank teller, but at least they said my name, looked me in the eye, used complete sentences and consistently said the words “Please” and “Thank you”! The planet of communication will be going retrograde through your house of children and creative self expression all this month Capricorn. So as far as your kids go, you might want to warm up your tone around the offspring all this month so that they don’t constantly feel like they are at a corporate board meeting. For those Cappies that are solo, for a change of pace this month strike up some small talk with any of the above mentioned complainers and every 3rd sentence throw in the word “Mother f*&%ker” That’ll make things a tad less distant and leave them completely tongue tied! Start things off by watching “Talk Dirty To Me” by Poison.)
Aquarius (January 21 – February 18) – Did you know that you are an air sign, Aquarius? Swear to God, it’s true! Now the air signs are known for their communication skills and mental abilities but as far as you guys go, you have more than enough of the latter and really not a whole hell of a lot of the former. Like remember the time I offered you a ride home and asked you where to go? You were so lost in your head giving statistical variants of the best route of transportation based on wind velocity, and the Chi of the population being formulated by dividing the average number of Starbucks per square mile that you didn’t even notice being passed off to your roommate who kept thinking I didn’t notice him at first trying to drive past me??? Mercury, the planet that rules communication will be in retrograde motion for almost the entire month of May my Water Bearers. Usually at this point, I explain what retrograde motion is, but I know your big fat brains are fully versed on the dynamics of planetary motion. However! since you are the sign that marches to the beat of their own wind velocity,. I mean drummer, where I tell everyone else that during a Mercury retrograde thoughts go inwards and are passive and more contemplative for you this means the total opposite! All during May instead of getting lost in your own cavernous heads, a Mercury retrograde forces you Aquarians to speak not only as directly and as forward as possible but to use words and vocabulary that are short and resourceful! Less is more this month, Aquarius! To bring that point home, watch “Language is a Virus” by Laurie Anderson.)
Pisces (February 19 – March 20) – Back when Brad was a tot when there was no such thing as the internet or cable TV, he would devotedly watch a show every Saturday night called “The Muppet Show.” And Pisces, there was one muppet in particular that simply was you in a nutshell! He was constantly in shock with the world around him, was always trying to blend in with the wallpaper to avoid being noticed and never said a single word! Even the episodic skit he was in didn’t have his name! But whenever “The Adventures of Dr. Honeydew” would start I knew that Beaker would be on in any second and would be forced into a life threatening situation where he would be so emotionally stunned that he could only utter choked, shocked gasps! Now all of this month, you will relate a little TOO much to Beaker, Pisces. You are getting a double whammy from Mercury in May because not only will the planet of communication be going retrograde or backwards in motion, but this will be occurring in its own house of communication for you my Fish children! Talking has always left a fishy taste in your mouths in general Pisces, but with Mercury playing pranks on his home turf you are going to pretty much be forced into situations all this month where you will HAVE to say your mind or simply speak when all you would rather do is be a Beaker and accidentily be blown to bits in a chemistry experiment that went o so wrong! The good side to all of this is the retrograde is mostly occurring in the very plain, upfront and simple sign of Taurus, so that even if all you can utter are single words, it’s still better than emotionally clamming up! Get some practice by watching “Doo doo doo Dah dah dah” by The Police.)

| | May's Horoscopes! Put the san back in insanity? Aries - Virgo | | | Tuesday, May 5, 2009 (8:29 PM) (I'm feeling Retrogradish) | | May 2009 Horoscopes!
Aries (March 21 – April 20) – I’ve got your number down Aries! With everyone worried about the economy, you’ve kept your spending down to a minimum, but I know your weak spot – THE IMPULSE BUY! I know that when you do go into the “zone” with the impulse buy, not even a Mack truck can prevent you Rams from literally charging your horns off! Just know that Mercury is going in retrograde motion for pretty much the entire month of May AND in your house of money and ANY kind of new purchase during a Mercury Retrograde eventually turns into a lemon with you usually not getting your money back nor getting any kind of store credit. So just for this month Aries, spare your credit cards the aggravation and leave home without them! For some extra incentive listen to Information Society “Made to be Broken”.)
Taurus (April 21 – May 21) – HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAURUS!!! Ummm, can I speak to you way over here alone for a sec? Now my Bulls, it is your birthday month and that’s super great and everything, but we need to have a little talk…..First off during any month of the year I do my best to educate those ignorant fools whose idea of a present for you Venus ruled calves with great taste is a cheap or (even worse) a gag gift! I tell them to save the whoopi cushions and what not for those low brow fire signs and that it is far better to give you cows nothing more than warm wellwishes for your birthdays than something cheap. Now, with that said, Mercury will be going retrograde for pretty much the entire month AND in your house of self which means that pretty much not only will you hate every birthday gift you get this year but you will most likely be saying to yourselves “I thought this person loved me and THIS is what I get as a birthday gift?” So before you even graze to those bleak pastures, you’re going to write off in advance this year’s mis-purchases for you and listen to Altered Images, “Happy Birthday” repeatedly until your guests arrive! Let the festivities begin!
Gemini (May 22 – June 21) – Do the words “Chatty Kathy” strike a chord for you Gemini? Kind of? OK then, how about the phrase “talk up a blue streak”? My twins, talking for you is not just one of the many modes of communication any of those other signs of the zodiac can choose from…..for the Gemini, it’s right up there with breathing and eating, it’s that VITAL and life sustaining for you. With that said, the planet that rules not only your sign but talking in general is doing one of its nasty retrograde stints for pretty much all of May and it’ll happen in your house of self for the first week and then move backwards into your house of secrets and lies for the remainder of the month. Soooooo if I were you, and just for this month mind you, I would do a LOT more listening and catch up on all the talk in June. To help you kids zip it, listen to Berlin, “No More Words”!
Cancer (June 22 – July 22) – Cancer, I know that when you get stressed you like nothing better than to retreat into your shells and hide out at home. As a matter of fact staying at home is usually your solution to everything BUT this can’t be the easy way out this month! Mercury, the planet of communication will be going retrograde through your house of friendship for almost the entire month leaving plenty of room for you to feel misunderstood among your buddies and pulling you even more to batten down your hatches and go it alone at home. Home gives the Cancerian a sense of security, but over time if more and more friends get alienated or dropped, then your house will eventually become your special little prison! Retrograde refers to not only Mercury’s orbit but to also look backwards in time – which is another favorite pastime of you Crabs. So go digging through your past and discover some old friends that you’ve lost contact with this month! Listening to Queen’s “You’re My Best Friend” will keep you in an amicable mood.)
Leo (July 23 – August 23) – It’s tough being royal Leo…There are many times when the kings and queens of the jungle have to actually descend the throne and converse (or worse) petition commoners for things like money, business proposals, office supplies, etc. Have you ever watched when QEII has to ask Parliament for something? Of’times She’ll make such a long winded speech that many a whig will be scratched wondering what it was she was asking for in the first place! With that in mind, Mercury, the planet of communications will be taking a backward spin for almost the entire month in your house of career. So for all of May, instead of elaborating upon your perspective if you’re feeling misunderstood at work and basically demanding to be heard, shut your royal traps! The less you defend yourself, your opinions and your divine rights as an employee the more likely you’ll still have a job in June! Have your boss listen to “Enjoy the Silence” by Depeche Mode.
Virgo (August 24 – September 22) – OK, Virgins I know how you love your lists, so I wrote one bullet pointing the areas of life that you actually DO need to worry about or just avoid all together this month – your in-laws, your professors, and oh yeah, the creator of the universe and of all living matter, all mighty God Himself. Your planetary ruler will be speedily going in reverse through your house of in-laws, higher education and organized religion for most of May, and we all know when you Virgins get nervous, your usually detail rich speaking skills can become so fast and tongue tied that the rite of exorcism has crossed the minds of both clergy and non clergy alike! I would suggest taking a vow of silence for most of the month and listening to “Shout at the Devil” by Motley Crue!

Do you think I'd name a show after it if it WASN'T a planet?
Where: www.livevideo.com/bradkronen
When: Thursday, April 30th, 2009, 6PM, PST
Which Channel: BradKronen
“All social rules and all relations between individuals are eroded by a cash economy, avarice drags Pluto himself out of the bowels of the earth.” – Karl Marx
“Oh let me see Pluto
It seems such a gas
With oceans of methane
And petrified grass
Let's go to Pluto
Let's live on the dot
See the bad moon rising
In a lunacy knot”
-The Creatures, “Pluto Drive”
Well folks we've reached the end of our solar system by finally alighting upon the most controversial of planets, I mean moons, I mean asteroids, whatever you would like to call it - PLUTO. I may not be able to prove to many of you my vocal insistence that yes indeedy, Pluto is not only a planet but is a major component of the human psyche, but withhold all immediate arguments until you've read this announcement in its entirety.
Pluto is named for the god of the underworld in Roman mythology (Hades in Greek). Whenever Pluto needed to travel to the domain of the living, he always wore his trusty invisible helmet. This will all tie in, trust me. Pluto rules the domain of death, and it's placement in one's chart as well as the 8th house is an area where we will be "destroyed" in order to experience transformative change. Besides the obvious task of destruction and pillaging, Pluto also rules anything that is core but hidden beneath the surface. It is in recent years that astrologers have given Pluto the prominence it deserves because it's placement is an area that is of very very small size but is of massively intense concentration - our most powerful subconscious drives that many of us have no control over. Pluto wore that invisible helmet because like the subconscious it goes sight unseen for quite a long time until some trivial thing triggers it and then all hell breaks loose - literally.
Through Freud and Jung and other pioneering psychologists, modern man has realized that the subconscious is a force unto itself and if left ignored or undetected, it can take hold of us - making us utterly powerless to control it and dominating every facet of the life until it is conquered. The same can be said with that chunk of ice we actually call Pluto, when a space probe finally reaches the outermost satellite of our Sun, I'm very sure they will be shocked that although small in diameter the actual stuff that Pluto is made of is of the thickest density!
If you still are not amused, consider this - Pluto rules the underworld in general, which includes the Mafia, it also rules fascism or anarchy type establishments as well as sexual or taboo power. With that said, is it no coincidence that Pluto was discovered in 1931 - when, in the United States the Mafia clans were brutally trying to claim dominance over the post Prohibition markets as well as the Hollywood censors were on a free for all to cover up the blatant sexuality and bawdiness American films had in the decadent 20's while in Europe, Hitler and Mussolini were beginning their ascent of fascist totalitarianism and tyranny.)
Enough said!
So join me won’t you? Or else Nemesis will come a knocking……..
“Priests and cannibals, prehistoric animals
Everybody happy as the dead come home
Big Black Nemesis, parthenogenesis
No one move a muscle as the dead come home”
-Shriekback, “Nemesis”

Neptune - Truly the planet that is the least understood and the hardest to grasp. Even Pluto with all its controversy has more light shed on its physicality as well as its subconscious effect in one's chart. But for each person, the placement of Neptune is their own greatest mystery. Neptune is the planet of boundary-lessness, where one desires to lose onself fully in either illusion, deception, spirituality, addiction, psychic perception or bliss.
The image chosen to depict the power of this planetary influence is a pre-Raphaelite masterpiece by John Everett Millais called “Ophelia” referencing the demise of the same named character in Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Shakespeare in his greatness leaves Ophelia’s death open ended for every person. Her vulnerable nature renders her insane to Hamlet’s mental torture but as she at first billows and then sinks in the water is she in a state of pitiable misery or Neptunian ecstasy?
You may be reading this shows title and saying "What the hell?" but if you say "What the Neptune?" it's much more fitting.) The words "Unbewußt, Höchste Lust" are the last words in Richard Wagner's Opera, Tristan und Isolde, a musical retelling of an Irish myth where a man and woman mistakenly drink a love potion, fall hopelessly in love, and are forced to be separated. Tristan in his sorrow kills himself. Isolde finds his dying body and after drinking poison sings the "Liebestod" or Death of Love and her final words "Unbewusst Hochste Lust" translate to "Unconscious, Supreme Delight!". To hear this sublime piece of music, please go to this link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKKEupnO8_0&feature=related
This is where I first heard the Liebestod and was left speechless when hearing it sung by the incomparable Jessye Norman, who on the last note is transfigured to a state of Neptunian bliss!
Neptune's placement in one's chart is where one desires to be like Isolde and Ophelia and completely lose oneself.
So join me won’t you? Get some deep breaths because we are going far under the surface for this planet - NEPTUNE!
Neptune Fun Fact - It is no coincidence that the year that Neptune was discovered by humanity, 1846, also ushered in a style of music and art that is quintessentially Neptunian – The Romantic Era.

“Uranus is one of the most chaotic and disruptive systems in the solar system.” – Mark Showalter, Carl Sagan Center
“Hey! said my name is called Disturbance
I’ll shout and scream, I’ll kill the king!
I’ll rail at all his servants!” - Rolling Stones, “Street Fighting Man”
“This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.” - “Hair”
Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun and is THE oddball of our Solar System. Its planetary axis is tilted sideways, its magnetic field does not emanate from the center of the planet, and unknown by most, this mighty giant like Saturn has rings as well. But these can’t be just your average, run of the mill, cookie cutter, around your planetary waist hoola hoop rings, O NO!!!! Uranus imitates no one in the stinking Milky Way; his rings circle up and around his atypical orb while his north and south poles lie where all the other lemming planets have their equators. And as if you didn’t have your fill on how DIFFERENT Uranus is from everyone else, his is the only name in our solar system that is of Greek origin not like those other Roman posers!!!!! (storming off and slamming bedroom door).
From a personal perspective, Uranus’ placement in our birth charts tells of where we claim our individuality, how we dare to break off from the crowd and blatantly display our unique differences (or lack thereof). It also hints at where some of us may have streaks of genius by having thoughts so brilliant and ahead of their time, they should be immediately patented! Multi Rainbow Mohawks and Chia Pet/Clap On Clap Offs aside, Uranus is not only daunting on a personal, individual level but it is also the first of the “generational” planets which because of its far distance from the Sun and slower moving orbit, affects entire generations of us on Earth as it slowly trevails through each of the signs of the zodiac, therefore affecting the dynamics of history itself!
When we take Uranus’ influence of an unapologetic flair of individuality in the individual’s birth chart and apply it to the annals of history with a generational theme we see that this planet has pretty much everything to do with: Rebellion, Anarchy, and Utopia. It still astounds me that the Planet of Rebellion was discovered in the year 1781 - smack dab in the middle of two of Western Civilization’s most violent overturnings of the status quo - The American Revolution of 1776 and The French Revolution of 1789!
So join me won’t you? Allright, Allright, don’t join me then, go stand and sulk in a corner, whining about how no one understands you while you absentmindedly make noises with your new tongue piercing – See if I care!
*Actually, see how little I actually WILL care when you are permanently banned from my show for even hinting at a Uranus joke. A joke about Ur-an-us – OMG I never heard that before, you are SO creative and clever (cough)……. RELEASE THE HOUNDS!
