| Friday, October 5, 2007 at 1:51 PM | | Matrix and the Allegory of the cave Similarities Its just meant as a commentary and not to infringe on anyones work or copyright of works. 1-Matrix and the allegory of the cave deal with ones perception of their environment. The people of the Matrix are shown the buildings, cars, animated people, even the environment itself and the animals that interact with the people are shadows on the wall of the real objects by the puppeteers, the machines much like the people in the cave in the allegory are shown more...the objects from the shadows on the walls by the puppeteers. 2- Morpheus is the philisophical enlightener and teacher to neo as he stated to Neo, "All I offer is the truth, nothing more." For he showed the puppeteers, the machines and the shadows they created for others. 3-Neo returns to the environment and states like the Allegory of the cave stated was going to show the truth behind the shadows, objects created by puppeteers, a different perception that had not been shown to them. Pretty cool, huh, That stuff our ancestors wrote still have the greatest importance in our times and significance. -Zen less | |
