(hehe) Just wanted to say a Quick Hi to all, and I wish I had more time to watch and to edit and upload more of my vids, but I'm going to get to it soon. Quick Note to say I have been on the "road", trying NOT to Kill certain Cast Members of certain shows (None of which I am at liberty to discuss). It's like every new generation of Dancer/Singer seem to in many ways (talent wise), "raise the bar" when it comes more...to their combined abilities to dance, sing, acro, pop, break, Step,stomp, Hip and Hop, .... BUT .... What's with the attitude already!?? (hehe) I mean one of the Producers came up to me while I was "explaining" in rehearsal to a certain Performing Artist that THIS show was SOMEHOW ... NOT ABOUT HIM!! (LOL)
Meanwhile, the rest of the cast of singers were silently waiting for me to read this kid his rights, and behind my back the Producer has signaled in silence to the whole chorus ... to sing ... "LET HIM LIVE". from Les Miserable!!!!
I just bust out laughing, they KEPT singing "LET HIM LIVE!" - Of course if you don't know the song I am talking about .... Fast Forward, cause you won't get the humor. Anyhoo, thanks to those of you who subscribed or appreciated some of my Dance History stuff, and other goofy stuff. Ya'll better SIMMA ... SIMMA DOWN NA!

Some time ago he gave me some incredible Advice that was truly "Life Changing", .... .. and I'd give ANYTHING to remember what it was .... ummm ... It had something to do with me being afraid of doing my FIRST VIDEO BLOG. You see at the time I didn't really understand what Video Blogs were all about. .... I thought in order for anyone to appreciate your Blog ... you would have to be "DEEP", "Thought Provoking", and have something SO incredibly more...Interesting, unique and different to say, that people who Finally sat down to Tape a Video Blog .... probably spent weeks composing all the meaningful things they would say and do in their "Video Blogs" , because after all ... once it's ON THE NET, It's FOREVER!!
ALSO let's NOT Forget, I have been in Showbiz, practically ALL MY LIFE. I mean doing it ALL, singing, dancing, comedy routines, Musicals, acting, commercials, Concert Tours around the world with "Name People" ..... so I'm .... NOT SHY, when it comes to a Camera being pointed at me.
It's just that in show biz, there is tons of planning, tons of rehearsing, tons of money spent, and tons of pressure to be nothing less than PERFECT during your performance, K??
...... ummmmmm ... So after kinda expressing my fears to PDUFF .... He basically said, .... you know Show B, .... before you Panic into the next Millennium .... you should probably "WATCH" a few random Video Blogs - ... BEFORE ... you decide it has to be good enough to win a Pulitzer. - - LONG story short , I randomly watched one after another, after another ....... and I HAVE to SAY ..... I was in AWE!!
Well actually ..... I was really more like ..... FROZEN IN TIME AND SPACE, looking VERY much like a DEER CAUGHT IN THE HEADLIGHTS.
I'm still having Nightmares, but I'm sure they will pass.
But my GURU ... PDUFF ... in all of his Cosmic Wisdom .... gave me the Perfect advice, he did this in a serious manor, .... but now I'm thinking he deserves the Academy Award for not losing it completely and falling off his chair in hysterical laughter, .... as I confided in him my deep fears about not having the "right stuff" to actually compose my own meaningful Video Blog.
I'm still having FLASHBACKS from watching these random Video Blogs. I mean ..... I witnessed: 30 year old guys jumping up and down on beds, throwing themselves against walls, picking their noses, mumbling to their pillows, standing on their heads and RAMBLING about how they HATE to brush their Teeth, cause they're only gonna get dirty again tomorrow, ... plucking nose hairs while attempting to sing what I THINK was supposed to be our National Anthem .... or it could have just been a very bad case of Asthma.
What AMAZED me the MOST though ...... was the fact that ..... these people .... were ACTUALLY .... getting HUNDREDS of THUMBS UPS!! ...... like they ACTUALLY had something to SAY!!!!???
I could go ON and ON ... BUT ... instead, let me just say this. I no LONGER have the FEAR of making a "VIDEO BLOG" that someone on the planet might actually WATCH and find mildly interesting
..... I have a NEW FEAR .... I FEAR that my Humor and Rambling might be SO, .... SO ... .... well, .... so SOMETHING, .... that only PDUFF and will "get it" .... and NO ONE will give me even ONE Thumbs Up, because .. I didn't grab my leg and put my naked foot in my mouth and chew off my Toenails to the tune of "Beautiful Liar"!

LET IT BE KNOWN THROUGHOUT THE LAND,.... THAT I AM GETTING "DANGEROUSLY CLOSE" TO MAKING MY "VERY FIRST" "VIDEO BLOG"! I would suggest that you BE AFRAID!! Thanks again to my GURU ... PDUFF!

This is Me, just experimenting with a special effect in one of my Video Editors. The words I am saying are not important, they are from a long Monologue more...in which I play this character, but when I added the special effect, the scene took on a whole new Meaning! LOL less

I was inspired to do this "concept" on my Sisters Birthday this year - 2007 --- Dig it it ->
I found this OLD Video from the 1980's of my Sister goofing around more... was lip syncing to all kinds of songs. She also was grabbing the table cloth for a prop, her "shawl" which she put over her head, then grabbed a sunhat and put it over that. In the original Video she is all over the place goofing off, and as I was looking at it a few times, I noticed that she, at one point turned sideways, and I saw her profile STOPP for ONLY a SECOND. I saw my head her that profile as a canvas painting.
I proceeded to capture the little bit of live video you saw and incorporated in into a slideshow. I don't think I have been THAT inspired with an idea since. Thanx for looking! less

YOU MAY HAVE TO PLAY TWICE IF IT IS JERKY!
(I just replaced original vid of Zebra ... with one (that should be sharper) This is a Professional Female more...Dancer, rehearsing some of my Choreography for a Show, I think it was about 1982? She is one of the BESTand Strongest Dancers I've EVER known. If you know the "Dance" you will see what I mean at the end when she does so many fuetes IN HIGH HEELS! hehe
I also Designed the Costume with emphasis on the Headpiece... was having her test it out as I had to make them light weight so Dancers could do all those wild "Head Rolls" that were so popular back in the day. Ala Ronnie Lewis.

Part 04 -Music by: Hiroshima -This mini Vid is just Short OUT-TAKES from a COX CABLE Television Special -I didn't even TRY to make smooth edits, just more...grabbed a shot here and there and Voilà! ... Mass Confusion! - More of some of my Jazz Dance Choreography (Back in the Day - (hehe) around 1983. Again for those of you who have not see some of my old "Vintage" mini vids, from shows, rehearsals, performances and so on. I will remind you that MOST of these are poor quality because I found OLD DUSTY (some too damage to copy- DRAT!) VHS tapes in the attic. This group of girls, which I think I will be ending up putting like 6 or 7 vids of them, turned out to be some of the BEST PRO Commercial Dancers around, and some went on to do BIG things! Woo Hoo! Makes me feel good to find these tapes and look back at a great group, then to see them go on to be Stars in many fields. Thanks for taking a look, visit often, I'm going to keep adding more surprises. LOL

I also designed everything from the Concept (which was, believe it or not ... BROADWAY SHOWS!) I was one of MANY Choreographers from all over the world, who pitched their Ideas to the Big Wigs. My Creative Ideas and Concept landed me 3 years with this particular Sports Brand.
I auditioned in many countries for this very important show: Eventually ended up hireing dancers from London, Paris, Amsterdam, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.

I'm just having FUN Viewing AND grabbing bits from my past.
Unfortunately .. SO many OLD Show tapes were too damaged to repair or copy, so those won't be left for the future archives .. for example of topics like: "History of the "Music Hall" / "Commercial Dance" / "Variety Shows" / "Vegas Extravaganza type Shows" / "Jazz Choreography ThroughThe Ages" / " Examples of Professional Dance Choreography used in Commercial Shows, Companies, both Jazz thru Ballet" ... etc.
QUESTION !!!!!!!!!!!! ???????? >>>>> If YOU were involved in any "Professional" OLD Vegas type Variety shows or the like ........... AND you have any OLD Videos from Vegas Shows, I would LOVE for you to either upload some numbers or parts of numbers to this site.
!!!!!!!!!! Also if you have any vids of Choreography from older Vegas Choreographers, like: Ronnie Lewis, Cary LaSpina, Ron Fields, or Choreographers like that .... I would also love to be able somehow to get copies, as they are hard to find!!!!!!!!!! ONE reason for this is that I am WRITING a BOOK regarding "Styles of Vegas Choreographers from the 60's to the 90's".
