I originally posted a couple of tearing videos quite randomly on You Tube but since I did then I have had many people write and tell me they liked them, but there was nothing else like this on the net. Sure enough, when I looked they were right. No tearing vids apart from the odd phonebook! So, if you like the art and the movement, feel free to make some, and I promise if you write to me, I will link you in here and subscribe so that other ripping fans can find your vids.

Unfortunately You Tube mangles the sound and puts a lag on the sound track which messes them up. This is for some techie reason to do with codec's, but they are only Avi files from a camera, and Live Video seems to manage them OK.

The person who does the ripping is my housemate Katrin. I do the direction, production, editing and posting. Originally I took a couple of candid vids, and she said I could use them if I clipped her face off the video. You'll have to respect her wish to be anonymous. Before you ask for the full shot you'll need to question yourself if you would appear in off-centre vids on the net where some friends or colleagues might see them.

Anyway, take it or leave it ;-) Some people find them erotic, some people find them instructive, and others think they're a waste of bandwidth. I'm simply going to say a little destruction can be fun. Try it and see!
