General
My Interest revolve around so many things, currently I love being a SAHM with my son. To watch him grow daily it has been a huge and wonderful blessing. Another part of my life revolves around being a devoted wife to my husband. The two of them together bring me so much joy and happiness.
I enjoy writing, more...scrapbooking and journaling. Blogging seems to be my new favorite past time to keep my soldier updated on the ongoings of our little world without him. Volunteering at my son's school is another favorite past time, I really enjoy helping other kids to learn and grow. I would love to pursue education shortly in a medical field. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars.. I love comedy or anything will make me laugh. But I have to admit that my favorite is anything vampire related.. Also I do enjoy a great Horror Film as long as William is next to me. There is nothing like a big strong guy next to you to grab ahold of! I am more...a huge movie buff and going to the movies is one of my favorite past times. My husband favorite movies are anything war or military related. A little bit about me... I'm Melissa aka Mel to all my friends. Currently I am a SAHM to a beautiful 8 year old boy named Jared. He is my inspiration and happiness. Every day he amazes me and I'm really blessed to have such amazing child. I am also a mom to a beautiful angel, Zachary. We found out @ almost 16 weeks of pregnancy that Zachary had past on Aug. 2, 2006. On Aug. 4, 2006 I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy weighing in at 2 oz (@ 1255). We were blessed to be able to hold him for the more...few moments we received. But even with his absense, I am still feel my son around me. He is our little boy that I long to hold once again. My other strength and foundation, is my hero. I married the love of my life on March 2, 2005, SSG Lucey. Currently my best friend just returned, March 20th for serving for his country in Afghanistan. I find it amazing how deployment can take a huge emotional toll but he is worth reliving it over and over again. William and I both stayed strong during it. I honestly believe that he made me see more how lucky I am really am. Its not every day you get to fall in love with your best friend. I experience that feeling each time I look into his eyes. Other little tid-bits - I am strong believer in supporting our troops, a extremely Proud Army Wife and I love being a Stay @ Home Mom. I also believe in the power of true friendship. People are there for you not only in the good times but for the bad times as well. I am a firm believer its not the amount of friends you have but the few that are there can mean the world.
