Movies: I could list all the movies I love but I rather explain my history of love for film to validate why you can trust my reviews. It all started when I worked in a small video store when I was a kid. I would spend my days watching all the latest movies to help pass the time.I used the excuse that it was for the benefit of the customer so I could give informed opinions and solid recommendations for the customer but really it was just because I was bored.Eventually that led to a genuine love for film. I too grew despondent over the lack of real critics out there.They just seemed to love terrible, horrible movies and seemed more concerned with making a catchy tag line than actually providing a real review. Or worse, the critic who does nothing more than do a play by play spoiling everything in between totally disregarding the future viewing experience of the reader.I was determined to give a real review and provide realistic expectations for people who are looking for a real experience when

Books: NEW RATINGS SYSTEM!!!!! THE GOLDEN RUBEN AWARD(****)- An Instant classic. A movie that can be seen over and over again and never gets old. A spectacular cinematic achievement. THE SILVER RUBEN AWARD(***) - An above average film that gives you a great movie experience. Fun times all around. THE BRONZE RUBEN AWARD(**) - By no means a terrible film. Just An average film that provides a really nice experience but is soon forgettable. Like a meal at Friday's. NO RUBEN AWARD FOR YOU!(*) - A film with some serious problems that keep it from being truly enjoyable. A sloppy lazy effort.
