Just taken delivery of a new CBR1000RR Fireblade, no more Gixer! GTR1400 I got 3 weeks ago. Both bikes so good at what they do! Just need some half decent bloody weather now!

A trip to Sicily was perfect for getting some vids done. I did hire a car one day tho and managed to roll it down a mountain road in a freak lightning storm. No serious injuries to myself or my gf. Check the pic of the car out, that wasn't so lucky! :)

Well, finally the day came round to pick up my bike. Bit windy but thankfully stayed dry for the 20-odd mile ride home. Started bucketing as soon as I got home tho so into the garage she went

First impressions:

1) Such a small bike. Honestly felt like I was sitting over the front wheel, despite having had Helibars fitted before picking it up
2) Such a smooth bike. Review said gearbox was notchy. I thought it was smooth as.
3) Slipper clutch is a winner.   more...No more holding balanced revs to change down as onthe FZ6
4) Very agile bike. Right round a big roundabout and flick over for exit onto motorway and it was effortless.
5) Nice surge of power, forget all that A, B, C malarky. Thought I was giong to have to rein it in initially. It's a dream to ride, and for someone with less than a year's riding experience, it is a phenomenally easy bike to get along with
6) Looks stunning. Neighbour drooled, he's got a 'busa. I love the looks.
7) EvoTech Aero sliders to go on frame and bobbins atback for paddock stand tomorrow
8) EvoTech Tail Tidy going on as soon as new plate arrives
9) Racefit Growler will have to go on
10) I hate shoddy weather, not letting my baby out in that!  less

Ok, some new good news! I've put in an order for a brand new GSX-R 750 K8 in black. Delivery expected middle of March. Can't wait! Will be getting some vids up asap, hopefully one picking it up and initial reactions too!

I entered a competition a few months back. I've just had a call. I've won a Triumph Street Triple :) Video to come when I pick it up from the dealer. Apparently will have some people from the mag there too to take some pics. Awesome :)
