| I am still struggling with thyroid problems but I am on my way to fixing it. Word of warning to anyone taking something for a thyroid condition. Stay away from soy products and your intake of such. Read labels! Soy will take away your medication's effectiveness! I learned the hard way. Mostly thyroid causes a bit of depression, no energy and the want to give up. I will keep fighting it. It's the first time I have ever fought for what sanity I have managed to get or want over the years. I'm worth more...the battle. I had to remain strong in that fact because so much of my life has been spent in the negative. At least I know now I'm not nuts and it's something that I can fix and hopefully cure. In order to get what I have right now and I am very proud of that, I had to change everything I was doing and forgo many plans I had for myself. I had to make a new life, embrace a new religion and give myself a new name. The old stuff wasn't working.The new stuff is working but the old problem which is I wasn't born with a whole thyroid is threatening to tear apart what I have gained. But I am a fighter. I had to fight to get into the world. I was born a small baby 3 pounds 15 oz. with many problems but I survived. Now I'm on the thriving side of survive. I'm mostly Irish, Scot and English with a little Cherokee Indian on the side for flavor. I have no children other than the furry kind. I'm learning to help myself or find someone to help me. Lately they find me and in learning to help myself I must be attracting the right people. People are put in your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. That's all true and in some cases you get all three. Fighting depression starts with figuring out the cause. It took me most of my life to figure it out. But the journey I wouldn't take for anything! less |
