An original poem about
children, home, love, letting go, and living your life.
Life
Life is change,
Change is the movement of time,
It's the more...flow of life
That keeps moving,
Like a river with no beginning and no end.
People are born
At the edge of the river,
Their tiny hands pulling fish from the stream,
Their face a reflection of hope
As they follow the sun.
Through the years,
The river's forgotten,
As they wander through childhood,
Collecting rocks, flowers,
And friends that run with them through the wind.
As parents stand by and watch,
The young exploring the world for the first time,
At first from a distance
Guided by others,
And then suddenly standing on the path alone.
All the while,
Pulling knowledge from the earth
As the seasons keep pushing,
Preparing them for this day,
When from seed to tree, their destiny becomes their own.
As mind and body
Pulls childhood treasures from pockets,
Replacing them with wisdom,
And leading them back to the river,
Back to the memories they call home. less

Today, more...her paintings are being used to help people suffering with pain... so that they may learn how to get in touch with their thoughts and emotions.
I believe in the power of art therapy....... to learn to pull your mind away from the pain and distract it with whatever soothes you.... and to make the time to do this every day, for yourself.
