Rider was reportedly splitting lanes of traffic to move forward.

A Valencia man was killed Wednesday afternoon on the I-5 when his motorcycle struck a vehicle near the car pool lane.

Aaron Braden, 29, was riding a 2007 Suzuki GSXR 750, traveling northbound on the I-5 just south of the junction of the 210 freeway. According to California Highway Patrol Sgt. Rick Miler, Braden was splitting traffic lanes between the high occupancy vehicle (car pool) and the #1 lane.

“Traffic   more...was slowing,” Miler said. “A vehicle crossed over the double yellow line of the HOV lane, hitting the motorcycle and Braden was ejected. As he was ejected, he struck the rear of another vehicle, suffering fatal injuries.”

Miler said the bike continued to move and struck another vehicle. He added that several reports of Braden traveling at a high rate of speed is under investigation.

The accident, which happened at 4:15 p.m., snarled traffic for several hours.

Damn. Seems like the rider was going WAY too fast. You should never go faster than 35mph while splitting lanes, unless you want to gamble your life away. Poor GSX-R750 and surviving family members.

It's not worth it. Think.

Bitter sweet feeling to upload video again. This site is running out of happy campers.

Just made my first VLOG. The audio is inaudible unless I am going slower than 10mph. So I am going to ad-lib the video and talk while watching it. I think I can remember what I was talking about at the time. I don't see my setup being compatible with talking while riding. Either way, 3 videos coming up soon.
