When it rains it poors!! We have been dealing with the health issues,special needs child and trying to adjust to being parents to my sisters 2 young children.

My husband has lived here on this farm for 45 yrs.His landlord (also) first father in law passed away a few months ago.He had told my husband that he could live here the rest of his life.Well as a verbal agreement goes,now that he has passed.......sighhh

The rest of the family has chosen to terminat the agreement.It was never intered in to the   more...Will I guess.So we have been informed that the farm lease is being terminated and have 5 months to resolve to move.

Not only do we have to figure out where to go with a daughter who is a Quad ,wheelchair dependant and 2 young girls who have been tossed around with a Mother who is not a mother (if ya know what I mean) and has found security here for the first time in their life but also have to worry about all of our live stock and animals.

It kills me to think of having to take to take them to a slaughter house/sale barn.......

The kids are just figuring out what is going on and are fussing about having to leave the farm!!

As if suriving the winter months isnt hard enough,now we have to look for and worry about moving ect...during this time and me out by March 1st.

The life of a farmers hired hand

When I was young I worked the fields
I gave my life to the hay and mills
To the family I was a slave at call
Now I am old
Worth nothing at all
My skills are few and strength is Nil
devoted my life to their family fame
Only they had some thing to gain
No savings
No retirement
No IRA's
As long as they prospered,I was OK to stay
Now that I'm useless I'm sent to stray
Too old to start over now
So Just lay me down
in the field of clover
