 | | ""Where creativity lives."" | My name is Allison, and I am twenty-five years old. One of my favorite hobbies is dancing, and I performed in fourteen recitals between 1988 and 2001. I danced from the age of four, until I was eighteen. I hope to display my dance years, as well as any other bursts of creativity that I may have.
I am a 2005 graduate of The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communications. I also spent the summer of 2005 (prior to receiving my degree that December) interning in the newsroom at CBS-3 Eyewitness News (KYW-TV) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
I hope you like my channel, and please, comment on my videos if you like them. Inappropriate remarks will be removed, so do us both a favor - don't waste your time badmouthing my videos, and I won't have to remove them. There, we're both happy.

 | | | 20th Century Fox 00:10 This is the 20th Century Fox logo that was used from 1965-1982 (this version is notable by the "slanted" zero. I found this on an old VHS copy of "Bill more...Cosby: Himself" that my parents have on tape. less Added: Jun 14, 07 Views: 1,441 Category: Entertainment |
| | Commercials - ca. 1990-1992 02:47 This was a commercial break that aired during "Primetime Live" on WABC-7 in New York during 1990, 1991, or 1992 - I'm not clear on the years though. Added: Jun 14, 07 Views: 46 Category: Entertainment |
| | | HBO In Space/Paramount Silent Logo 00:44 This is an HBO Intro and the 1975-1986 Paramount Logo (The "Early 80s" Abstract Mountain). This was taken from the movie "Airplane, though I'm not sure more...when it was taped. If anyone can help me with the year that this MPAA disclaimer aired (we didn't get a VCR until 1986, but it looks like it was prior to that year), it would be much appreciated! less Added: Jun 14, 07 Views: 603 Category: Entertainment |
| | | | HBO: On Location (1986) 00:40 This was taped during the fall of 1986. It aired at the beginning of "Robin Williams: Live at the Met." The classic (and long defunct) "HBO on Location" more...featured a different stand-up comedian each month. HBO still does this, but they are now the "HBO Comedy Special." Boy do I miss these days!!!! less Added: Jun 14, 07 Views: 92 Category: Entertainment |
| | Next on HBO/Promos (Fall of 1986) 01:44 This was taped in 1986, and aired before "Robin Williams: Live at the Met." My parents started the VCR about five minutes too early, and the result was more...this collection, and the "Inside the NFL" clip that was almost too irrestible to not show (it's in my library).
I'm not sure what part of 1986 this aired during (the Robin Williams special does not list a date on IMDB.com). There is a promo for the movie "Lifeforce" (I was cringing over this - I've never heard of this movie, and I'm glad I've never seen it - I buested out laughing when the woman says "I love you." The look was priceless!)
Also, just so you know, that right after Robin Williams (at 8/7 Central - an odd time to air a comedy special, since they usually air at 10 o'clock now, after the movie), Lifeforce is on at 9/8 central, and followed by...DUNE! That starts at 11/10 central. Sci-fi classic? Wasn't this supposed to be a long and pointless film? less Added: Jun 14, 07 Views: 142 Category: Entertainment |
| | | "Inside the NFL" from October or November 1986 03:42 My parents made video taping an art, as we can all attest to. They either started the VCR too late (in the middle of the now-extinct HBO or Showtime introductions), more...or too early. this is one such instance where my parents started taping about more than five minutes too early! This is the final minutes of an episode of "Inside the NFL". The rare treat of this is the bizarre video sequence that played under the closing credits. This was a video that a football team made (I think!), and there is also some sweepstakes information. My parents taped this prior to "HBO On Location - Robin Williams: Live at the Met" in 1986. I sort of found this accidentally while going through some tapes - there is also a quick clip of Miss Piggy (which has since mysteriously disappeared since I uploaded this!) - I'm not going to ask what was on this tape prior to Robin Williams, since the only other two specials on this VHS were "Gallagher" specials from Showtime. less Added: Jun 14, 07 Views: 41 Category: Sports |
| | Orion (Thru Warner Brothers \\' - A Warner Communications Company) 00:17 This is a variant of the 1982-1996 Orion Logo (the most famous one - the "Starry Sky"), with the "Thru Warner Bros. - A Warner Communications Company" more...byline. This was from "Caddyshack," and I think my parents taped this in 1988 or 1989. We've since gotten this on DVD, and it is well preserved on the DVD.
Fun fact - this is not the original logo used before "Caddyshack" - there was a combination Warner/Orion logo from 1979-1982 that was used for this movie involving orange and blue squares. I'd like to think this was the ONLY logo Orion had, because it was so nice. the intro of the "Caddyshack" theme plays under it, and sounds so peaceful. less Added: Jun 14, 07 Views: 409 Category: Entertainment |
| | | Showtime Original Comedy Presentation (1980s) 00:38 I found this before two different "Gallagher" specials on the same tape - "Over Your Head" (1984) and "The Maddest" (1983). I'm going to say this was more...1986 when they taped it, given the Robin Williams special these two Gallagher specials were contained with on the same tape. less Added: Jun 14, 07 Views: 139 Category: Entertainment |
| | | | Showtime Feature Presentation/Universal 00:41 My parents started the tape a little earlier on this video, which shows more of the Showtime Feature Presentation introduction. the logo is a 1973-1990 more...(An MCA Company byline) version of The Universal 1963-1990 "Zooming Globe" (I particularly hate the TV version of this logo). this version is silent (thank goodness!). I found this on my VHS copy of "The Great Outdoors."
I also have the same version of this logo with the opening chords of the intro to the movie "Opportunity Knocks." I would be happy to upload it upon request. less Added: Jun 14, 07 Views: 248 Category: Entertainment |
| | Funky Big Band - Jazz Performance 1994 02:53 This is my June 1994 Jazz performance to the Janet Jackson song "Funky Big Band." The costume is VERY early 1990s. I have really short hair (you can't more...really see my hair under that hat!) and glasses. I was watching this video while I was copying it, and couldn't believe how tall I was - in fact, I'm pretty much that tall now, except Iwas tall for eleven years old. I was in 5th grade at the time. less Added: May 29, 07 Views: 35 Category: Arts & Animation |
